ULTRA RARE EARLY BING JOINTED ELEPHANT WITH METAL EAR TAG c1910! MUSEUM QUALITY
RARE GERMAN BING ELEPHANT c1910! I have been slowly downsizing my antique bear collection and today I'm offering a n ULTRA rare Bing elephant circa 1910. This museum-quality mohair elephant is such a treasure and so rare that you'll probably never see another especially in this excellent condition. He measures 14" tall and 6" wide from his pot belly to his back. He is made of exceptional quality and looks very similar to the jointed Steiff elephants from the same period. He still retains his metal Bing ear tag and if he didn't have it he could easily be mistaken for a Steiff! Serious collectors know that Bing's early bears and toys are very desirable and much harder to find than Steiff. This elephant is in excellent condition with all the bells and whistles: clean with no odors, only some slight thinning around his head and body, all original with no restoration of any kind and has his ear button. He is stuffed firmly with excelsior and is fully-jointed 5-ways. He is wearing a pretty pale blue Victorian sailor jacket that will be included. It is very difficult to let him go as he is so darling and displays well with antique teddies. This Bing elephant will make a great addition to any antique stuffed toy collection! All serious offers will be considered.
