ULTRA RARE Vintage Commodore 1551 Floppy drive North American 117v NMIB
Offered here is a vintage an ULTRA RARE North American 117v version of the Commodore 1551 disk drive that was. To be used with their Commodore +4 computer. On the internet, this drive does NOT exist b. Ut in fact it does, just ultra rare! In the beginning of the introduction of the plus 4 in North America, they had also planned to release the 1551 drive.
These drives were sent to Commodore dealers here in Canada. I do not think they were ever sent to the US. In fact, this may be the only 1. Notice the serial of 15 and the power of 117...
Also notice the original box is for the Canadian market. And English I personally bought this from the owner of Kobetek systems in New Minas, Nova Scotia. He owned the Commodore dealership in this area. (now long out of business) I think his name was ZIG, not sure but I remember her was German. Although the drive does function as I describe, it may need cleaning/ repair and/or adjustment to operate at optimum efficiency - unsure.Please check out my other listings.
