ULTRA RARE! Vintage JOTY Mermaid Mom & Baby Figurine Wall Plaque Hanging Set

  

VM767- This is a very rare set made by "Joty" back in the 50's and one of the most sought after sets by collectors. Note that the white spots you see on the pictures are flash from the camera, there is no paint wear on the set. The Joty sets can be identified by the shell/bead/rhinestone design that she did the same in every set she made... Just made the sets in different colors! You often see people advertising this style mermaid as "Joty" just because there is a design on the tails..... But Joty had a unique design (like the one here) and it is very obvious when a set is Joty by the this design, the flower on the mirror, and the way Joty did their eyes. Sometimes the inside pictures do not show the true color so the 2nd picture I show taken outside. This is not only a rare set because there were not many made, but it has all three babies, and is glazed in striking gold. Some of the tiny shells have chips on them... Definitely nothing you can really see and amazing they are in such good condition after 70 years!! Mom is 8.5 tall and there is clear crazing on the set. I've also included the gold bubbles that came with the set.

This is definitely a set to prize and hand down for generations.... It has been given so much TLC over the past 70 years. Check out my other items.
