ULTRA RARE XXL1970's COLOMBIAN TUMI ALPHA NAPA LEATHER VINTAGE GARMENT BAG
I don't know the exact year(s) this was offered but probably sometime between 1975 and 1983, at which point a designer created the iconic Tumi brand. Being an original bag, it was manufactured in Columbia, where Charlie Clifford, founder of Tumi, located a few factories to manufacture his early pieces.
Take this opportunity to own a great piece of luggage history. I tend to collect too much luggage, among other things, so I've decided to sell a few of my personal collection. This garment bag features soft, durable tan camel brown leather and brown nylon lining. Bag has been in storage there are some small scratches and picks in leather from storage as expected. Bag has been monogrammed but can be replaced at any Tumi store location. All zippers and components function as designed as well as all locking components. Also a few picks inside of the bag on the nylon but the are tiny and from the metal components poking through.
Bag shows an amazing patina including some water spots. Please understand this bag is 40 plus years old and for its age is in excellent condition but please don't expect it to be perfect obviously. Don't miss this chance to own a part of TUMI history. The bag measures 23" W x 40" L when unfolded x 13D when full.
This is one of the biggest garment bags ever produced by tumi. Can fit five full suits inside of it and a ton of other items of clothing and shoes in other pockets.
