We are pleased to present ne rare representative of IWC. Ingenieur From my personal collection. Vintage ultra rare in Excellent condition. 853 Automatic Steel Swiss watch 60's. With the vintage market and auctions in full hype-mode these days, we often hear the words unique, ultra rare or never-seen-before to talk about a watch with one small detail to differentiate it from the rest of the crowd. However, were quite confident in saying that youve never seen what were about to show you: a truly unique, truly legit and truly interesting IWC Ingenieur 666A (the first generation of this model). And for once, we have all shreds of evidence that it was born this way, back in 1965, as a special order to IWC. As indicated by its name, the Ingenieur was a watch created for scientists, engineers, doctors and, on a larger scale, people working in magnetic environments. The movement was protected by a soft iron cage the dial, the movements ring and the caseback cover created a protection against magnetic fields up to 80,000 amperes per meter (A/m). At the end of 1950s IWC introducedan enhanced version of its automatic calibre, the c. The changes between the c. 853x wereminor and affected only a few parts. 853x movement was introduced in 1958, while the productionof c. 852 calibre ended one year later. Date Manifactured: Circa 65's Movement: calibre 853 with Pellaton winding system ticking inside the watch. Movement Features: automatic, sweep second 21 jewels f = 19800 A/h power reserve 44h Case: Stainless Steel in excellent condition. Dial: Dial is IWC Ingenieur factory 100% original. There is a very pale spot at 9 o'clock, look at the pictures. Special Note on the description. Please note that this is a Vintage watch since 1940 and its pressurization may have been impaired due to aging rubber seals or wear the crown! Please look closely at the pictures for better understanding, we use high resolution camera which is even better to see and explain the small things even on a smaller object like watches.
