Vintage Lustro Ware Turquiose Cannister Set Ultra Rare Flour, Sugar, Tea, Coffee
This is a vintage set of 4 canisters that are from the 1950's and are made by Lustra Ware. They are not marked but are the beautiful turquoise colored flour, sugar, tea and coffee canisters and in every listing and image I have seen of these, they are identified as Lustra Ware. They are the ultimate mid century modern pieces!
The set ranges from the flour canister measuring 8.5" not including the top piece to the Tea canister measuring 4,75" not including the top piece. The pieces have some wear to them, some of the background white coloring on the from of the canisters that sets off the black fork, spoon and knife, has some paint loss. This is most evident on the tea canister. The sugar has a nice white background of a sugar bowl and the flour has a white image of a flour sifter.
The one piece that has been altered by someone is the coffee canister. Someone painted over the coffee making it coffees. There are a couple of wear spots that show some slight yellowing on the inside edges of the containers towards the top where the lids fit in. There is a small amount of turquoise paint loss on the back of the flour container. I will price this set accordingly due to the coffee word being painted over. There are no breaks or chips.
