Ultra-Rare and highly desirable vintage piece of Soviet history today. It has several names: -4, 4, 1201.04. All this means the same - the 4th and the last generation of popular DVK series of PDP-11 compatible computers in Soviet Russia. It was the most powerful desktop PDP-11 machine ever created for the enterprise users and research centers in USSR in late 80s. Unfortunately, the high price of the machine (17k rub which cost more than a brand-new Russian Lincoln at that time), relatively low number of units manufactured, rich of the precision metals, and the entire shutdown of the Soviet era made this Soviet PC to be one of the rarest and highly desirable machines among the computer collectors today. It has 1Mb of RAM, 20Mb HDD (never had any bad blocks on it), and a rare color monitor. The CPU is 16-bit, 6 MHz, (nMOS), LSI-11 bus. 2 x 5 FDDs (not compatible with PC). It runs on RT-11SJ operation system. Every part of the computer is made in the Soviet Union, all original and was never repaired. I will include a new old-stock genuine keyboard and mouse.

All works properly as it should. The machine is very noisy and heavy (78 lbs or 35 kg). There are about 10-20 collectors who have such machine in Russia today. Usually, it comes with 256Kb of RAM on board and a monochrome display.

Only every 10th machine was bundled with a color display at that time. This one has got a factory installed 1 Mb of RAM which is a big WOW. I doubt you will find any other in such configuration.

I was told it was decommissioned from the second space surveillance center in Moscow in 1994. You will need a 110V -> 220V Up Voltage 1500 Watt Transformer to juice the machine (not included).

Google for "DREM FDD-MFM-HDD emulator" in case if you'd like to run any other DEC PDP-11 compatible software on this machine.
