1935 Charles Darrow Black Box Monopoly Game. This game is about as rare as it gets! Also known as a Darrow/Parker Brothers hybrid game because when Parker Brothers first acquired the game from Darrow they put their trade mark label on the front of the board and used all of Darrows parts prior to coming out with their Trade Mark version. Notice that this board does not say anything (Trade Mark) under the word Monopoly in the center.
The box is in great shape! There are no split seams at all! Board is rough but not too bad considering how rare it is. Board seam is taped; outside label. Is ripped and in poor condition, and all of the property squares are written on with marker. There is also some discoloration on the board. Deeds are good but have writing on the back.
Chance and Community Chest Cards are excellent. Houses and hotels appear to all be there.
The game is missing directions. This version did not come with tokens as it was suggested to use random items in the home.
