I, A-K, page 307, by Francois and Danielle Theimer, English Editor Florence Theriault, for photos. To say this doll is breathtaking would be an understatement. I hope the 12 photos that we are allowed are enough to give you an idea of her beauty, but if not, I have more photos I can share. She has the smoothest early pressed bisque and if it were not for the very short surface hairline at the pate opening that has been very professionally restored, I would say it is perfect. All this flaw does is make her more affordable. This doll is wearing antique clothing, including her cotton pantaloons, camisole and slip, and an antique woven straw hat with a most unusual couturier style. The original Jumeau fashion body is very clean and has no patches or darkened spots except on one finger where the wire shaping inside the fingers rusted and created a dark spot. She measures 26 inches, but with the slight bend in her knees from the sawdust packing so tightly, she would be probably 28 or 29 inches. Her fingers are of course separately stitched. She has her original cork pate and her antique mohair wig is refurbished by adding another antique wig of similar color to it giving her more fullness and longer curls. Thank you for your interest.
