This Bulova chronograph comes from the early-mid forties, and its indeed one of a kind, a rare, astounding, extremely difficult to find watchmaking experiment. This 10AH is one of the smallest chronographs ever produced in history, and the movement holds indeed the first place for the smallest diameter for a serial-produced chronograph. It comes from an era where watches were getting smaller and smaller, when watchmakers wanted to show their craftsmanship and expertise by conceiving, designing and manufacturing more and more complications in ever smaller cases. This intent was, in the case of this 10AH, accomplished in an extremely peculiar way. The chronograph module is mounted almost on top of the movement, yet in a smooth and pleasant transition which seems all natural to the eye, like it was always meant to be there. It beats at a frequency of 18000 oscillations per hour, has around 35-38 hours of power reserve and a small seconds sub dial at hour six. The big second hand is instead started, stopped and reset through a single pusher at hour three, which actions the chronograph mechanism through a very unique pillar wheel. This movement is extremely rare, and any kind of research in any possible portal, website or everywhere else will make it clear: now even broken versions of the 10AH, parts of the watch and the 10AH movement have become practically impossible to find, and it is precisely because of its unique nature, functioning and the sheer rarity of it that this model has become extremely sought after by collectors, and especially by chronograph enthusiasts. This particular watch was serviced around one month ago and works wonderfully in every function. It keeps time, the pusher presses without getting locked in, and the big second had resets to zero with ease and precision.

The original Bulova 10AH case has survived in an incredibly good condition, considering all the decades since production: apart from a dent in the lower part of the caseback (relative to the writings), it doesnt have almost any sign of damage. Both case and caseback are made of 10K Rolled Gold, which is a very thick kind of Gold Plating that has not been in use anymore for decades, the quality of which is easily recognizable. The watch has been complemented with an original vintage Bulova strap (which is itself pretty hard to find), and a 10K gold-filled buckle.
