Casio Dep-500 Depth Sensor Dive Watch Protrek Vintage Ultra Rare Prt Spf

It's my pleasure to present this listing for a vintage Casio DEP-500 "Depth Meter" quartz digital watch. ULTRA rare, this is one of, if not the, best diver watch manufactured by Casio! This DEP-500 is in beautiful pre-owned condition and fully operational. The pressure sensor located on the left side of the watch is used to measure depth of a dive from the hydrostatic pressure of the water.

This is a no-nonsense, all-out dive watch and has only 3 modes. Time-keeping mode, dive mode, and data recall mode. No alarm, stopwatch, or other unnecessary features.

The dive mode is accessed by holding the "Mode" push button for 2-3 seconds to change from the. In dive mode, the duration of the dive, maximum depth, and current depth being measured by the depth sensor are all displayed concurrently on the digital display, along with the elapsed dive time shown in the radial segment display. Data recall mode is accessed from the time keeping mode by pressing the "Data" push button and is used to review the data (start time, finish time, max depth, average depth, and elapsed dive time) of the previous 5 dive events. All watch features and modes are fully operational with no issues; illumination lamp is also working fine with no problems.

The watch is presented on a. Brand new rubber ISO-style dive strap with stainless-steel hardware. The strap is adjustable and should fit a wide range of wrist sizes.

I've also just installed four fresh Energizer batteries yes, the DEP-500 requires 4x 395 batteries, the most of any watch I have ever encountered! Case seals are intact and look in excellent condition; all have been freshly lubricated to prevent them from drying out and becoming brittle and to help promote water resistance. Crystal and case are in very nice used condition: a few light scratches and scuffs throughout but very minor and presentable overall.
