Hermès Vintage Silk Scarf Toros Hugo Grygkar 1952 Ultra Rare
Ultra Rare Hermès Vintage Silk Scarf "Toros" designed and issued in 1952 by Hugo Grygkar. Very early predecessor to the popular more modern/ "Plaza de Toros" by Hubert de Watrigant which was first issued in 1993 and reissued after. This is approx 34" tall x 32" wide Measurements from this original time of creation for these scarves will differ from the 90 cm rule of more modern standards of a similar size. This scarf has some wear for it's age, please zoom in on photos to see condition before ordering and please don't hesitate to ask any questions. You will see a few threads out see photo close-ups. There is also a small worn spot bear the bull in lower left corner. It appears to have previously been pressed/ironed as the seems have been flattened.
This can be easily be restored back to the original rolled seam by a professional cleaning service or you can obtain a referral through your Hermes consultant. Read about the typical condition for these scarves from the 40's and 50's and you will find that this is great condition for being so old.
This has no detectable perfume or other odor and comes from a smoke free home. Hugo Grygkar never signed his designs, so you won't find a signature on his work. Vintage scarves of this age will often have damage and flaws. In general, all sales are final.
