Rare Longines Ultra Chron Diver Ref. 7970-1 vintage wristwatch fully serviced

  

For sale is a men's vintage Longines Ultra-Chron automatic diving wristwatch with date. The watch features an original black dial with white painted hour markers, 3 applied hour markers at "12", "6" & "9" which also have luminous applied around those 3 markers, silver tone hands with onyx trim in the center, sweep seconds hand with white luminous tip, uni directional rotating bezel (Bakelite), large stainless steel case with screw in back, acrylic tension ring crystal, non signed crown, and a caliber 6651 movement with 25 jewels adjusted to 4 positions and temperature (runs at a rate of 28,800 beats per hour of the balance wheel). The serial number on the movement is 51603745. The case reference/model number is 7970-5. Please note the close-up images of the movement showing the pristine condition without corrosion and the fully cleaned and oiled movement condition. The case itself has some fine surface scratches and for the sake of originality, it has not been polished. Please keep in mind this is a vintage watch and while originally a diving watch it should not be any longer placed in water.
