Seiko ULTRA RARE 6139-6013 6139-6012 BRUCE LEE Vintage Automatic Chronograph
Ser# 815844 which dates this watch to January 1978. Why is it called "Bruce Lee"? Because he wore this model Seiko in his movies. This particular "Bruce Lee" chronograph is in very good condition (my opinion). For being over 40 years old it shows little evidence of its age.
It appears to be all original except for the bracelet. The bracelet that was on it when I sourced it was not very flattering.I replaced it with a new old stock (NOS) Speidel stretch bracelet. I cleaned the watch case thoroughly (not the movement). The movement appears to be running well. The seconds and subdial hands reset to "0" as they are designed to do. The chrono buttons operate as designed to do.
The watch case is in good condition. Easily better than most Seiko Chronographs that I have seen. There are no scratches on the crystal. The case front still has its brushed steel finish. (see photos) This indicates that the case has not been polished. There are only a couple minor wear scratches on the case overall. I do have an original Seiko bracelet for this model watch. Unfortunately, it is not silver/chrome. If you want it, I can add it in for free. A good metalsmith may be able to remove the gold finish and rechrome it.
