ULTRA RARE Boy Doll Composition 14 INTAGLIO EYES WHISTLER RESTORED
Gorgeous vintage 14 Whistler composition doll lovingly restored by Swanky Kitty. He has beautiful intaglio blue eyes and blonde hair. His head and arms have been restored, the body is original. This rare Madame Hendren Compo & Cloth Doll was made with a wooden and oil cloth bellows, with springs, inserted into his legs so that when a child pressed down on him, with his feet against a firm surface, he would make a whistling sound. Unfortunately the oil cloth has dried out so he no longer whistles, but all parts are present should the new owner want to repair the system.
His composite/composition head and arms have been m. Eticulously restored with every attention to detail to recreate his original look to the letter. He comes wearing white cotton newsboy style breeches from the 1910s or 1920s, white shirt with necktie, a brown felt visor cap, and matching felt high button shoes or boots. Hes signed by the restorer on his chest. An absolute must have boy doll for your antique doll collection.
