ULTRA RARE Early Release vintage Tamiya Sand Scorcher

  

It was built with new vintage early release parts around 10-15 years ago. And been stood on the shelf since. The paint work was amazing until it started to crack! (Now standard on the re-release Scorcher but moulded & stamped differently). The early release came with a few differences... From what I know the gearbox casings were different with a open gap between the lower rear bumper mounts. And, the front suspension uprights have screws in instead of moulded alloy tabs. No radio/electronics or batteries are included. Only a period motor and mechanical speed controller. I must stress, NOTHING on this model is from a rerelease Sand Scorcher. It is a genuine 100% Complete vintage early edition model built as per vintage Tamiya manual including every nut, bolt & screw!! Which makes it ultra rare!! The only bad point I can see (apart from cracked paint) is that the rubber switch cover has perished & ive wrapped it with tape to hold it together.
