ULTRA RARE! New Built Early Release vintage Tamiya Sand Scorcher
Yep there's always one eh? As you can see from the photos, the bumper that comes with the car is the top one & 100% vintage. I know this because I bought it years ago and don't like being made out to be a liar. A bold statement I know but try finding some of these early parts in new condition? There are plenty of scorchers come up on here but not in new condition.
I built this car with all new parts around 15 years ago. Way before any rerelease kits! So it is a genuine 100% vintage scorcher with the early release parts such as the rear gearbox moulding different (cut out between lower rear bumper mount). Screw stoppers in the front suspension towers instead of alloy moulded(lugs).
The only bad point is the paint, it's cracked! Such a shame as it would be perfect other wise. Every screw, nut & bolt is genuine Tamiya all being the correct sizes etc. Built as per the manual. Really don't want to part with it as it's my last vintage model now. You won't be disappointed and needs a new home of a collector? No electrics, batteries, manual, box etc included.
