This old Estate beauty was made by Deforest of California: a small, California art pottery studio in Southern California. Deforest made a few mermaid sets, but this lady was their jewel! I believe she is currently the only one to be found for sale. Her adorable fish couple is still with her, as are all the bubbles.

There are nine (9) pieces. Mermaid: 8 inches tall x 6 1/2 inches at widest. Approx 1 1/2 inches deep/thick. Fish with open mouth: 2 1/2 inches long x 2 inches at tallest.

Fish with closed mouth: 2 7/8 inches top to bottom x 1 7/8 inches side to side. Black bubbles: large- 2 1/2 inches diameter, medium- 2 inches diameter, small- 1 1/2 inch diameter.

Gold bubbles: each are 1 1/4 inch diameter. Condition (Please see all photos, as all areas have been photographed).

Mermaid she was missing one pink rhinestone, but I have replaced it with a very close match. I will send a few of each color (pink, clear, blue) to replace as/if needed. She has a couple flea bites on the back edge. There is a tiny rough spot, or missing glaze on the top of her mirror.

Beautiful, underglaze crazing, but no cracks or large chips. No repairs to the pottery. The fish with his mouth open has a tail repair, and is still missing the last little bit on one end. One black bubble has a couple tiny flea bites on the edge.
