Vintage Original 1976 Mattel Space 1999 Carded ZYTHON Alien Figure ULTRA RARE
It doesnt get much rarer than this. Up for offer is a carded Space 1999 Zython alien action figure by Mattel. A very short run of these figures were released circa late 1976 in Germany after the series of action figures was cancelled here in the US. Very few of these ever show up on the secondary market let alone carded versions. This is one of the rarest pieces from my Gerry Anderson Space 1999 and UFO collections.
Zython is sealed on the original card - but as you can see in the photos - the blister has become yellowed and brittle and is prone to cracking/breaking. This particular figure was part of a sci-fi museum collection in the upstairs of The Lothlorien Emporium in Moffat Scotland. PLEASE NOTE: the last photo in my listing is a picture of THIS figure on display at the museum about 10 or so years ago. I will do my best to prevent the blister from cracking further, but as mentioned - it is extremely brittle. Please review all photos as they are part of my description.
